Rank Maths Causes 503 Errors - Support

I have been experiencing 503 errors caused by RankMath. Whenever it occurs and I check my error log I see the message:

PHP Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, -paarray given in /home/sobiaonline/public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/frontend/paper/classper.php on line 193

When I check Line 193 above via the RankMath folder (public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/frontend/paper/classper.php ) I see this;

$this->description = $this->do_filter( ‘frontend/description’, trim( $this->paper->description() ) );

There is something going on with the above line 193 definitely but I do not know what to do.

This happens for two weeks now until I deactivated the plugins one by one and singled out the Rank Math plugin. It will just happen like 2-3 minutes three to four times a day.

So when you visit the website you will say everything is ok but it’s not.

Please help

Are you trying to use the following filter anywhere on your website?
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-meta-description

This error points to an array used within this filter on your website.

I there somewhere I should look to look in the settings.

Never added any code concerning RankMath

We can’t seem to locate any settings on your website that should cause an error. Also, could you please let us know any steps you did to produce that error log?

It’s gone.

I used blog2social and I noticed after sharing a post the 503 occurred. But strange enough the error log does not show anything about blog2social. So I used a troubleshooter provided by blog2social and noticed the problem was that I disabled image hotlinking in All One WP Security Plugin. So I did not experience any issues since yesterday after I enabled the image hotlinking. Pray that it remains so

I logged into your website’s admin area but I was unable to replicate the issue.

The error is not displayed in the post. Other than the first one, I also checked a few other posts and pages but I was still unable to replicate the issue.

Please have a look at the screencast in the sensitive data section of this ticket.

I did not know how to reproduce the issue.

But as mentioned earlier it does not happen all the time. So looking at individual post might not work. When it happens its quite brief one to 2 minutes and the site is back to normal but as you know this has a toll on my traffic for sometime now.

Whenever the website is down the error log will print the error in line 193 I have already explained above. I was thinking that the ”expect parameter 1 to be string” is the main issue we have to solve based on line 193 but how to figure out the issue is also my problem.

Dont know what else to do.

The PHP is showing the warning, and It’s not harmful to your website. It seems like the data is being sent as an array instead of a string value. There is the possibility of the data being corrupted to that individual post only. You can create another page and can paste the content of the post, and try once again?
