First of all thanks for your work with this Plugin, I think it’s awesome and provides a lot of value. Unfortunately we currently have an issue and struggle to make it run properly on our website. We use the latest version of elementor and for some reason the Rank Math Plugin wouldn’t let us save our settings. It’s appearing normal in the Elementor Sidebar, but once we make our changes and hit save nothing happens. After reloading the changes are gone. Without the plugin activated Elementor works fine. I’ve recorded a screencast for better understanding, which you find below.
Any ideas of what’s causing the issue here? We did some research already including the corresponding article on your website, but haven’t come across a proper solution yet. If we can’t make it work I think we may have to use a different SEO plugin…

If the changes are not saving while using Rank Math, please check if you have any firewall as there are chances that it will prevent saving the data.

Hello,

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately that didn’t resolve the issue just yet. I’ve installed Wordfence and activated its Learning Mode, but it didn’t seem to have any impact. Also when I use the Troubleshooting Mode and only install the Elementor (plus Elementor Pro) Plugin together with the RankMath Plugin it still wouldn’t let me save. So there shouldn’t be a plugin conflict either. I added a screenshot of an error I constantly get, which might be an indicator of the issue here. Could you think of something else? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Could you please try using a default .htaccess file on your site and check if the issue persists?

Please take a backup of your .htaccess file first before making any changes.

Once done, replace it with the default WordPress .htaccess file: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/

Also, you can get in touch with your web host for assistance with this process. You can inform them to whitelist these Rank Math routes as well on their firewall:

/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/getFeaturedImageId
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/getHead

Hello,

Thanks for your support here. I was able to make it work when only using the wordpress editor (not elementor itself). Then it was saving our settings. So for now I won’t be dealing with this anymore, but we may come back to this again.
