Rank Math Post Tab No Longer Expands

    Good day,

    After an update, Rank Math shows up on a new post page, but only the title bar is visible. When you click to expand it, nothing happens. Also, there was a notification on my WordPress dashboard stating that my site URL changed and needs to reconnect. Nothing changed on my end.

    I have tried reconnecting to the Rank Math site twice as well as removed and reinstalled the plugin.

    Nothing has worked so far.

    After an update, Rank Math shows up on a new post page, but only the title bar is visible.

    This issue could be caused by a conflict with a plugin or theme you are using

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Also, there was a notification on my WordPress dashboard stating that my site URL changed and needs to reconnect.

    Let’s start by checking your WordPress settings and making sure that your website URL is correct. Sometimes, a small mistake or a missing slash can mess up the connection.

    To do this, please go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Settings > General. Then look at the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields and see if they match your website URL exactly.If you find any errors, please correct them and save the settings.

    Next, please try to disconnect and reconnect your Rank Math account by following these steps:

    1. Go to Rank Math > Dashboard and click on the Disconnect Account button.
    2. Go to Rank Math > Connect and click on the Connect Account button.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen to log in to your Rank Math account and authorize the connection.

    If this doesn’t work, you can try adding a filter code to your website that will bypass the URL check. This might help if there is some issue with your server configuration or DNS settings.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );

    You can add it to your theme’s functions.php file or use a plugin like Code Snippets.

    Additionally, I cleared my browser cache for all time and confirmed that, that is not causing the issue either.

    The issue with the notification on your dashboard should have been resolved since you have changed your site URL in the settings. Please let us know if otherwise

    In the meantime, the Health Check plugin is developed by the WordPress community, so we do not doubt their ability and the capacity of the plugin itself to perform optimally. This is among other reasons we use it as a tool for troubleshooting plugin conflicts.

    Regarding the Rank Math Meta Box, we might need to take a closer look at the settings.

    Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    I cannot provide access to our site for any reason, but if you’d like I can provide screenshots, if that would help.

    Otherwise, I have confirmed that this is not a plugin conflict, so, we need to look into other potential solutions.

    Please verify that you’re running the latest versions of the Rank Math plugins. According to the Rank Math changelog https://rankmath.com/changelog, the current versions are Rank Math PRO v3.0.47 and Rank Math Free v1.0.204.

    Then please go to one of the posts/pages that has this issue and take a screenshot of the browser console and the errors shown there in order for us to debug this issue.

    You can use an image-sharing tool like https://imgur.com/upload to share the screenshot with us.

    Since you aren’t able to share your website admin for us to troubleshoot further, are you able to create a staging website on your end?

    If you can, please create one, reproduce the error there, and share the login access here, this will allow us to deeply investigate the issue and resolve it permanently without worrying about touching your live website.

    Is there a way I can download previous versions of Rank Math? The problems all started with this latest version.

    If it is possible to download previous versions, I would like to be able to try the last 3 versions, just in case.

    I confirmed that this problem is not a Chrome (only) issue, it is also present in Safari.

    Unfortunately, I do not have a version control option.

    Under Status and Tools, I only have a System Status tab that also shows the error log.

    Nothing under either of these sections includes a version control or has any useful information.

    Our developers are aware of this issue and have already implemented some code in our repository to fix it which will be released in the next stable release of the plugin.

    Until then, we would recommend keeping the plugin on version 1.0.203 for your affected website.

    Now regarding your inability to roll back to a previous version.

    Under Status and Tools, I only have a System Status tab

    Can you confirm to us if you are using a multisite installation in your set-up. This usually happens when you have activated Rank Math on the Network admin and not on the subsites.

    In order to use Rank Math on a multisite setup you will need to install it on the Network Admin and only activate the plugin on specific subsites.
