Rank math meta descriptions are not synced with elementor and normal editor - Support

Good morning!
I made the translation on my website with WPML automatic translations. There I also translated the meta description and URL for the page. Later, when I was checking the pages, I wanted to make sure that the meta descriptions are correct and not too long and couldn’t see the correct ones in Elementor. The support told me to edit them in the normal editor and not in elementor, so I did that. It worked, however, when I wanted to change something in the design or text in Elementor, the changes were not synchronized with rank math, and the page got the meta description changed and worst of all the URL. It automatically was changed to “defalt-kit”, so some pages were not working, I then edited everything in Elementor and made sure that its correct, however, the issue continues.
Please let me know how can i fix it or there is some setting that I need to change? Pages randomly have URLs like “default-kit-1(2)(3) etc” and I have a lot of broken links, apart from that it looks bad.

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I tested on my local environment with meta description added in Elementor does shows on page editor as well. In my situation it’s synchronising properly. Would you please run the troubleshooting to see if there’s any conflict with other plugin / theme. Here’s the troubleshooting guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

As far as changing the URLs of the pages are concerned, would you please confirm that URL only changes when you edit the Rank Math snippet or does it happen even you do any textual changes in Elementor? Saving Rank Math won’t change the URL of the page. The third screenshot you shared looks you are in Elementor library not the page you are editing.

This is not helping me. If you can I would appreciate you logging into my website and fixing it from there. Is there a possibility like this?

I paid a WordPress service to fix it but they were not able to fix it. So I think it should be a Rank Math support.

Let me know if you need anything else! and please feel free to change some settings or whatever else as I’m out of ideas how it can be solved, and don’t know how to proceed with the website editing.

Yesterday for example my colleague edited a small thing on one page in all the languages and SEO description in Elementor looks wrong again. I don’t know how it always reverts, and which one is showing up in Google, the one from Elementor or normal editor.

Please try again, for me it is working. First you should login using the link I shared. The issue is happening not only on the page I shared but practically everywhere.

Already for a week I can’t do any editing because of this, and the relaunch is postponed. Kindly asking to fix this issue soon.

Hello,

We changed the design a little bit in Elementor of one of the pages and the metadata from our plugin remained the same as you can see here: https://i.rankmath.com/v/QyMdJg

On top of that, we also checked the postmeta database table and looked for the data related to our plugin and that was completely unchanged.

So, this doesn’t seem like an issue with the metadata saved inside our plugin but rather some other conflict likely between the translations from WPML and the Elementor page editor.

You can also test disabling the Rank Math plugin and try to replicate the issue to verify the same, even though we were not able to replicate it even with our plugin enabled as illustrated in the video.
