Rank Math keeps creating URL prefix property in Search Console

    Hello,

    I’ve migrated from Yoast to Rank Math, and I connected my Google account to set up Analytics and Search console.

    The problem is, I already have a domain property but Rank Math keeps creating a URL prefix property upon connecting Analytics/Search Console.

    I’ve since deleted the property added and reconnected via the Analytics tab in Rank Math but it continues to add it.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    If you do not want Rank Math to automatically add the property, you can deny the Manage the list of sites and domains you control permission when connecting Rank Math to your Google account.

    We add this property as our plugin doesn’t support the domain verification of Google Search Console and we rely on the URL prefix to show the data consistently in Rank Math Analytics.

    Just a heads up for others that ask this and have already connected Rank Math prior.

    I had to go to the Third-party section of my Google Account to remove Rank Math’s App access because there wasn’t an option to deny the Manage the list of sites and domains you control permission
