Rank Math has changed my locale to USA in Open Graph!!!

    I’ve just migrated from Yoast. Now all my open graph is missing images and my locale has been set to US, although my site language is correctly set to English(Australia)

    What is going on here and how can this be fixed?

    yes, I can see rank math has removed 24 images that were previously specified in Yoast and now all my open graph is broken and displaying the wrong location.
    Why would this be? I used the setup tool and everything was supposed to import from yoast. Everything else seems to have…

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    It doesn’t look like en_AU is supported by Facebook:
    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/messenger-profile/supported-locales/

    So, that is why it defaults to the en_US.

    I am not sure how it was working previously for you but en_AU is definitely not in the list.

    For the images, do you have featured images set on those posts? If you used a custom social image and it didn’t get imported – could you please attempt the import once again from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export:

    If that doesn’t work, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    ?? I am talking about my Open Graph Locale. That is being fed to more than just Facebook, so I’m not sure why youve replied witn a list of which country codes are supported by the facebook MESSENGER platform. EN_UK isnt even supported by that list. This doesn’t make any sense.
    You cant be sending out signals telling any platform using the open graph that the website is based in America. Im certain this wasnt happening under Yoast.
    No I haven’t set ANY images. Why isn’t RankMath using the feature image for the page like Yoast did?
    All of my clicks from Google My Business have suddenly disappeared this morning, and right now the only significant change factor I can see that would be causing this is.
    I need the open graph to be sending the correct locale please, I spend a LONG time setting this up yesterday and deleting yoast. If using RankMath is actually going to have destroyed my SEO setup, left me with suboptimal SEO and the only solution you are going to offer me is going back to Yast, which will take hours worth of setup, I’m afraid I will need to make tis known far and wide.
    Please advise where the open graph is supposed to be pulling te image from for each page and why isnt it pulling the feature image?

    Alright, Ive just checked te old Yoast open graph, and that locale was also set to US, so I guess that is the way thius has to be.

    But it was defionitely serving up my feature image from each page as the og:image.
    Should this be working in RankMath?

    P.S: Please also share a link to the post where you have an OG image set using Yoast but it is not getting imported into Rank Math.
