Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it could be a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using, Divi and Rank Math.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Please let us know if you find the culprit.
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

thank you for your answer, unfortunately I have decided to install Yoast Seo instead, because the Divi Operators told me that it works better with Divi. Now everything works fine. But anyway I liked this plugin more, not because its free, but it offers mor functionality. I would have paid for it also. But I am not a specialist for wordpress etc. and dont have time to check difficult issues.. So thank you for the first… May be I will get back to rank math some day…Wishing you a good time..Kind regards Eckhardt
