Rank Math detects Directory Listing Enabled although I disabled them

    Hi Rank Math team,

    So I am finding out many things about the SEO Analysis that are not accurate and wrong. Besides the SEO Description error, another one is the plugin keeps telling me that I am having Directory Listing Enabled on my site, even though I disabled Directory listings already!

    I have followed your step in here https://mythemeshop.com/blog/disable-directory-browsing-in-wordpress/

    And also added an index.html file to every directory under my root directory.

    But, Rank Math still says Directory Listing is Enabled on my site!

    So, this feature of your plugin is clearly buggy. I’m just reporting it and I hope you guys take note.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    If the SEO Analysis is not updating, go to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Clear SEO Analysis

    Once done, clear your website and browser cache and re-run the SEO Analysis.

    All because of Rank Math, I asked my host to add a blank html file to ALL my directories, and now, it is a MESS.

    A total MESS!

    There are hundreds or thousands of blank html files now in all my folders. ALL!!!

    My host is having a problem now, because to delete them all is not easy without experienced server command.

    Even WordFence gave me a Critical Issue warning and showed me a (small) sample of those files!

    And best part is, the stupid Rank Math is still telling me, my directory listings are visible!

    We’re not recommending adding a blank .html file on your site as it is going to cause such issues. Your web host should be able to help you disable the directory listing on your site.
