I downloaded a Spanish .PO file. Can I use Poedit Pro to translate this file into Simplified Chinese? Can this be achieved perfectly?

  • I have Chineseized part of it myself, but there is no change at all. Please see the red part of the attachment.https://www.china-firstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Basic-jpg.webp

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for the issue you are facing.

The best way to translate the plugin is by helping with the community project here: https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/zh-cn/default/wp-plugins/seo-by-rank-math/

If you don’t want to help with the community project, the other way which is pretty straightforward is by using Loco Translate plugin for this purpose.

Please note that using a plugin or a PO file won’t help with the translations of the Content Analysis API as those are JavaScript translations and are only done via the community project.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/zh-cn/default/wp-plugins/seo-by-rank-math/”Boss, I’ve already submitted over 500 Chinese translations here, but what’s the process for updating them after submission? Do they require human review, and I’m not sure how to sync them into my WordPress?”

    Hello,

When installing the translation, the language files should include the pluginā€™s name followed by the language and they are usually not in JSON format but rather in the PO and MO formats which are translation-related file formats.

So, for our plugin, it would look something like this: seo-by-rank-math-de_DE.po

Having said that, depending on the settings for the name of the translation file you have on Loco Translate you might need to change the file name accordingly.

Please note that this falls outside the scope of our support as the only supported translation method is using the WordPress translation program.

You can get in touch with Loco Translateā€™s support as they might be able to help you with this.

Lastly, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Updates and scroll to the bottom and you should notice the ā€œTranslationsā€ section where you can update the translations. If you see any button there that says ā€œupdateā€ please click it.

Please note that this type of translation will not work on our Content Analysis section as the texts there are rendered via javascript as we already mentioned earlier.

    Looking forward to helping you.
