    Today my question is regarding the permalink structure changing…

    From many days I’m thinking to change the permalink structure of my site for better SEO optimization but at the same time I’m having fear of getting 404 error after changing permalink structure as the URL of every post would be changed.

    My blog has approximately 100-120 blog posts which are indexed by the Google and other search engines. So whenever a visitor clicks from search results or by direct URL click they will get 404 error as their URL has changed.

    And creating redirection using Rank Math for every post is so time-consuming and difficult.

    So my question is that can Rank Math help me in this regard or I have to install some other plugin.

    Please guide me as I have to change permalink structure and also I’m so confused.

    If Rank Math can’t do it so please suggest any other plugin to help me in this regards.

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for getting in touch.

    You should not update the permalink structure of a website that is already established and has hundreds of pages indexed.

    Moreover, this type of change will not create auto redirects and you will need to manually create redirects – either one by one or using regex.

    There are some advanced permalink management plugins that do this easily but changing permalinks in the first place is not something we would recommend on a page with so many pages indexed.
