Question: Elementor Pro Internal links via taxonomy not counted?

  • Resolved Kathi

    Hi there,

Apologies, I am new to all of this.

I am using Elementor Pro and noted that the internal links I can set via taxonomy do net get counted by rankmath link counter. (for example in buttons) Are they only not get counted by Rankmath or is generally not readable. Is there a way to achieve this?

I also read in a different thread here that the links I set in my footer to our other company websites, do not get counted. Is there a way to achieve this?

Thank you so much for any tips/help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The links Rank Math finds are the ones inside your content (so not the ones in other places on your page). Also, if your content is using shortcodes, outside Elementor Rank Math could have issues detecting the internal links. But you should have no issues detecting them using Rank Math inside Elementor.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Thank you Alberto,

I realized that the links I set via URL address get counted, but not the ones via the elementor interface. I am happy to send you guys snapshots to get my point better across.
It’s not s big issue, but I would appreciate understanding better what is relevant to score better.

    Thank you.

That would help, or even better, we could take a closer look at the settings. If you want that, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

We really look forward to helping you.

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello Kathi,

I tried creating a test post to replicate this but I keep getting server error 401. Could you please create a screencast with and share in the sensitive section with the URL of the affected post so we can be able to test and probably replicate this from our end.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
