Question About When to Activate Rank Math When Building A New Site

    Hi,

    I am about to start building new Adsense sites.

    I might use a different domain to stage/build my sites before moving them to their home domain, so Google doesn’t try to index them before they (the sites) are ready.

    Should I wait until I have a few articles written and my sites on their designated domain before activating and connecting each of my sites to Rank Math?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    You can install Rank Math even your site’s still under development. Once you have pushed your site to live (designated domain), all your Rank Math settings you have made in your staging site would still be intact.

    The only basic difference would probably be the indexing option which you can easily set using the WordPress option to discourage search engines from indexing your site in WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

    Reading

    Other than this, you should treat the settings on your staging site the same as you would on your live sites.

    You won’t however need to enable some modules such as Sitemap, 404 Monitor & Analytics on the staging area since they won’t be useful.
