    How important is it to append location after the (F)ocus (K)eyword (for optimum SEO) ?

    Keyword Example:
    offset printing nairobi

    As opposed to simply:
    offset printing

    Reason for asking, appending the location to the FK, makes it difficult to formulate the Content.

    Will I get same results without the location incl in the FK ?

    I don’t think appending a location really matters unless your keyword contains it. You should add ALT tags that contain the same text/ focus keyword that you are optimizing your content for.

    Perhaps, you did’nt understand my qtn.

    Do I need to include location in the Focus Keyword, whether it’s btwn 2 words or after ?

    Will the prospective client ( based in Nairobi ), be able to find my Printing business site with keywords offset printing ?

    Hi,

    You have to use your location.

    The offset printing keyword is pretty generic and you can’t possibly rank for it unless you have a huge SEO budget.

    Is there a link btwn the domain extension & the Focus Keyword ?

    Or a link btwn Meta Descn & Focus Keyword ?

    Assuming the domain has an extension .co.ke, can Google search show Kenyan cos ( with domain ext. co.ke) which provide offset printing ?

    Having the keyword on the domain name is not really as relevant as it used to be in the past but Google will still highlight it on the SERP. On the other hand having a geo-specific extension will help you rank for specific countries where people are inclined to choose local link – Google will also give out local results.

    The meta description should also possess the focus keyword that the post content has been centered under.
