I checked and some of the products from your second product sitemap are already indexed on Google. Please check the screenshot that I have attached in the sensitive data section.
Can you please share a screenshot of the error that you are getting in your GSC?
And it’s ok to have multiple small sub-sitemaps as it makes it easy for Google to crawl your sitemap. If you want then you can increase the value to 500. This will make your sitemaps not too large and just a fair amount for Google to crawl easily.
