Hello. It’s been a while (about a month) that the thumbnails don’t show up in Google’s organic results. I tried some related articles but to no avail.

I noticed that all the images are no longer indexed in Google Search Console and the message I have is Sitemaps Temporary processing error

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with the thumbnails not showing up in Google’s organic results. It seems like there might be an issue with the indexing of the images in Google Search Console, and you’re receiving a message about a “Sitemaps Temporary processing error.”

To address this problem, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Indexing Status: Verify if the content is already indexed by Google. You can do this by typing `site:https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/ in your browser’s address bar and hitting Enter. If the content appears in search results, it means it has been crawled and indexed.

    2. Request Indexing: If the content is not showing in search results, return to Google Search Console and click on REQUEST INDEXING for the affected pages.

    3. Submit the Page to Google: You can also manually submit the page to Google using the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console. Copy the page URL, paste it into the Inspection tool, check if it’s indexable, and then request indexing if needed.

If after following these steps the issue persists, please provide more details or screenshots if possible so we can assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’ll do our best to help you resolve this matter.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

According to Google, the Sitemaps Temporary processing error is a temporary error on Google’s end and should be resolved independently.

Please share your sitemap URL so we can check this for you.

Can you also share with us the screenshot of the issue reported in your GSC that is affecting the indexing of your images?

We look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    I have the same issue.
I haven’t noticed any error regarding this issue in my GSC.

    Hello @eddieb,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please confirm if your images are not showing on SERPs? If so, please note that there is no way we can control the images shown in search results. The Google Search algorithms select the images as it believes that it is something that would benefit the users.

Here’s a link for more information on this: https://www.infidigit.com/news/can-you-control-the-image-snippets-shown-for-a-google-search-result/

But we have a guideline for your images that you can try to follow and see if that works for you: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-show-images-in-search-results/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    My website is WedMyWay

All features images are missing (not indexed) Only the features

when I go to index my page it shows this message but it is not indexed

I want to mention that the problem has arisen now. Lately

    Hello,

Please note that the images are not supposed to be submitted to your GSC account. There is no report for the images indexed in Google, and you need to check the image search results directly to figure out which images are indexed. You can ignore the error in the GSC account for images, as they are not supposed to be there.

The page can be indexed, but Google hasn’t decided to index it yet. The reason for it is only known to Google and you will have to wait for Google to decide to index the page as there is nothing you need to fix on your end.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
