Problem with editing the SEO-fields

    I have a very weird problem, which occured shortly.
    I have edited several sites and portfolio site, typed in keywords, etc. But now when working in wordpress in the backend, the rankmath fields appear, as I wouldn´t have edited them at all.
    Here´s how it looks, after I have edited all the data.

    I also can´t see the rankmath seo score, as it is usually shown up right in the backend.

    I use wordpress 5.5, as i had problems with editing in the backend – i upgraded to 5.5.1 now, but the problems with rankmath still occure.

    Is it a bug problem or what´s the cause? why do the rankmath seo fields appear, as I didn´t edit them?

    Hope, somebody can help, because if this bug doesn´t disappear, I can´t use rankmath anymore.

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Do you mean you are not able to edit Rank math meta fields?

    If so, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Please let us know if you find the culprit.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Unfortunately I even can´t use the troubleshooting mode, because when trying to enable the plugins one by one, it just says “a site error occured” so it´s impossible to use the troubleshooting mode. this is really weird. WordPress and all plugins are up to date (except of the revslider, as it´s not updated since a 5.x-version because it crashed almost the whole site, so I didn´t update it since then again).

    So I don´t know what to do, as troubleshooting mode seems to be not possible 🙁

    In the meantime I have checked some plugins without using troubleshoot mode, it may seem that classic editor plugin may be the cause.
    when disabled and using gutenberg, i can use rankmath again, but only when editing sites – the problem occures still when editing portfolio sites.

    hope this sounds not too chaotic 🙂

    So, what could I do when even troubleshooting mode doesn´t work?

    I´m running out of ideas :))

    Since you are having issues with the troubleshooting mode, please also add some FTP credentials so we can check the logs and restore access to the site if there is any issue.

    I updated the sensitive data field and gave you the usual login data, as I didn´t figure out how to create a temprarely login with the plugin.

    I also hope, the ftp data is correct as described. I created a new user for the support, so I hope, this works 🙂

    I also tried to use the troubleshooting plugin on your site but it seems to have issues. Could you please try disabling your plugins and switching your theme to see if this issue persists?

    You can also create a staging site so we can test this from our end.

    what exactly is a “staging site”?

    to what should i swith my theme? do you mean disabling the actual child theme and switching to the “usual” theme?

    please forgive me my maybe naive sounding questions, but I´m not that good and experienced at this :)))

    I´ll try switching off plugins one by one (without troubleshooting mode), later this evening when there´s not so much traffic 🙂

    I´ll need some 2 days, as there´s lot of work going on here (which is good during a worldwide crisis, of course =D)

    so I´ll write you soon after having testes all plugins by disalbing/enabling 🙂

    if cou can explain in the meantime, what you mean with “staging site”, thanks a lot! =)
