I sent an email to Bhanu and he told me to create a support ticket
(if you need screenshots i can send these by email reply)
In the last month I looked at my permalinks and they were /archives/%post_id%/ – However I never use these settings and always use /category/%postname%/ format – I also never
touch my permalinks because I was told not to do this as it would effect the historical linking and thus rankings.Strangely however the permalink structure on my site did not change even though the setting had been changed and it has stayed how i want it as category/post like this https://www.medievalchronicles.com/medieval-castles/10-stunning-castles-in-scotland/
So this seemed fine and I have decided to leave the permalink like this, as too worried to change it and it works OK but still baffled as to why the change didn’t take place.
*******PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS PERMALINK SETTING************
About a year ago I ask someone to go through my rankmaths settings and trusted that they knew what they were doing but I now don’t think they did, and they are no longer contactable. I was just wondering if this issue with my permalinks could be connected to the schema settings
changes they made. Also my rankings during this period seem to have gotten worse.I was wondering – Does my site need Schema anyway, is it any use for this type of education site? https://www.medievalchronicles.com/
Can you have a quick look at the settings attached to see if these are correct, or should I just turn off schema? If I did turn off schema would it effect permalinks or anything else important with regards to rankings?
Thanks Mark
