Posting to Facebook Twitter when publishing post

    Hello,

I am managing a site for a client and they pass me the content for the site and posts. I see when I publish a post trough the block editor that I have the option to post to the Facebook and Twitter feed. When I click the Facebook it takes me to log into Facebook. I don’t personally use Facebook or Twitter. In any event I need to be logging to the clients Facebook (managed page) and Twitter. I would rather not have to login through the clients personal Facebook to do this. Is there an alternative way to do this. I searched around the Knowledge base to see if there was any documentation on this but no luck finding anything. I see in the settings -> Social Meta configurations relating to Facebook and Twitter. Is there anything here that will help me? If not, is it possible that in a future update that some type of token API system could be used to allow me to push to others feeds as I publish posts?

  • Just a quick observation. When I go to the Social Meta page. all I see are the fields for Facebook and just the one Twitter Username field. All the others for LinkedIn, YouTube etc are not appearing?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Those share buttons you see after publishing a post were added in the last plugin update (last week or so) so we haven`t added them yet to the documentation.

But they are just share buttons, nothing more (I mean, they are just like the sharing buttons you see when browsing a website), it is objective is not to automatically post the new post in social networks; that is why you see the login request when clicking on them.

But your suggestion adding the function to push them automatically is a good idea, I will send it to our devs and hopefully they will add it in a future update.

About the question in your second message, we have removed certain social networks from the social meta tab in titles & meta settings.

The same thing is mentioned in our changelog:
Removed: Multiple Social meta options, as they are not required anymore for the Knowledge Graph by Google & Bing. You should only see the needed options in the Global Social Meta settings page

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
