Post sitemap and sitemap_index.xml which should be submitted to search engines

    Hello

    Please I am a bit confused in the actual sitemap to be submitted to search engines in other for my WordPress blog posts to be properly crawled and index. So my question is whether to submit sitemap_index.xml or post-sitemap.xml

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    We recommend that you only submit your main sitemap, sitemap_index.xml. The other sitemaps are included in this and will be crawled in the same way.

    However, to avoid issues when submitting the sitemap URLs, if you have any caching setup on your site, please look for where to exclude URLs/Pages from being cached and add your sitemap URLs.
