See I have just one cache plugin installed on my CMS but still, I have been noticing an error of not having a preview image. It happens with all the social platform whether it is twitter, Facebook, linked in or an app like telegram or Whatsapp. I have tried all the way to solve on my side but unable to sort it.

I have also tried changing my themes, but unable to make through it. I have also uninstalled my previous cache plugins like w3 Cache, switched to options like WP fastest Cache and now I am using Just one plugin for cache and minifying page load and that is auto-optimize.

I think rank math plugins have to do with settings in this issue. Please solve it out

I have used FB debugger on which some posts show a preview and at some don’t. The issue is showing as follow:-

Provided of: image URL, https://www.visitbest.in/wp-admin/upload.php could not be processed as an image because it has an invalid content type.

    Hi ,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The URL you have shared is not a post or a page URL. Could you please share some of the affected post(s) URL so we can test from our end.

There are a few reasons for the Facebook (or any other social network like WhatsApp) not picking your images and other social tags. We will list them below so you can check which one applies in your case:

    1. First and foremost, you must check the page source of the URL in question. Search for the og:image tag like in this Video:
    https://i.rankmath.com/aJCccE

If the og:image tag is not found, that means Rank Math is either disabled or not able to print your social tags. Once done checking if Rank Math is enabled, you must check why it isn’t able to print social content by following this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Make sure to follow all the instructions carefully.

    2. Assuming the og:image tag was found in step 1, we can proceed to find the issue.

Scenario 1: You are using minification on your website and your cache plugin is inputting too much inline CSS into your page source that your OpenGraph tags are pushed way too down your page’s source:
    turn off minification

If this is the cache, you must move your inline CSS to a file because Facebook and other social networks will only look for OpenGraph tags in the first 60kbs of your page’s source. If they don’t find it, they will assume you haven’t added them. They don’t want to waste their resources crawling huge pages looking for OpenGraph tags.

Scenario 2: The gain browser cache option in most cache plugins like W3 Total Cache is known to not play well with Facebook’s OpenGraph detection. If you have it enabled, disable it. The option for W3 Total Cache is at WP > Performance > Browser Cache > HTTP (gzip) compression
w3 total turn off gzip compression

Then, clear your website and server cache (including Cloudflare – if enabled)

Once you are done, you might want to test again here:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    Click the Scrape Again button:
    scarpe again facebook debug tool

You should now see the OpenGraph tags update including the image.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

See I am accurate at both the given steps. Og: image tag is there in the page source. But the given below tag is appearing twice.

    <meta property=og:image content=https://www.visitbest.in/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Best-Hospitals-In-India-e1594974018398.jpg>

This may be hindering the image preview but I don’t know “how to remove one of them”.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Sorry for the issue you are facing.

I would recommend to use the following guide to find which another plugin/theme (apart of Rank Math) is adding that meta tag: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

The issue persists even when only the default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty) and Rank Math are active. And The Facebook debugger shows the same. I have earlier told that the page source of posts shows duplicate Og: image tag and the tag is

    <meta property=og:image content=https://www.visitbest.in/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Best-Hospitals-In-India-e1594974018398.jpg>

I think the same tag appearing twice may hindering the preview of images. I don,t how to remove one of them.

Hey Plz, support me. I have wasted much on trying to solve it

    Hi,

You have to disable your minification or cache as it looks like your code is not correct.

If you have gzip enabled in W3 Total Cache, please disable that too as that is a very common cause for the type of problem you are facing.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
