  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Let me know how it goes. We are looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks so much for the quick response. I’m still working on sorting out the URL but I believe that your guidelines made it worked.
I’ll let you know if I have more questions once I’m able to track all the URL downs 🙂
    Thanks again,
    C.

    Hi Team,

I think I now have all the URL back in sitemaps.
I have a couple follow up questions:

    1) Why is there 2 sitemaps created by rankmath for the posts? It seems that the second sitemap is a repeat of URL already listed in the 1st sitemap?

    2) What’s the best way to create redirects? Is it via the advanced tab at the bottom of the page or post to redirect? Or is it via htaccess?

    Thanks!
    C.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

    1. This is completely normal. Rank Math will create several post sitemaps if the number of your posts exceeds the links per sitemap which is 200 by default. Please head over to Rank Math > Sitemap settings and increase the number of links per sitemap to have fewer sitemaps.

    2. Rank Math has a separate module for redirections. You can enable it in Rank Math > Dashboard. Here’s a guide for creating a redirect using Rank Math:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/setting-up-redirections/

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
