  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the images, and it seems that they are being redirected to their respective URLs. However, there is one image that redirects to your homepage. Please see the screencast in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Could you please confirm if that is not the image you have set for your homepage? Also, which of these options are you using for your homepage displays in Settings > Reading?
    Homepage

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hi Reinelle,

I think you didn’t read properly or didn’t understand it.

    I mentioned
“featured images of my website indexed on google is not redirecting to post itself but redirecting to **********homepage or some other post.***************

I have attached another screenshot, kindly check again.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

You have set your homepage to show your latest posts and also have your category pages indexed. In this case, it seems Google is reading a number of your images not from the their original posts but from where they are archived at which might be your homepage or your category pages or as it seems, a post within the category.

Would you please check if you have enabled the option to redirect attachments in Rank math > General Settings > Links. If you haven’t, please enable it and give it a few days for your images to be crawled again and let us know if this helps.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello team,

Could you please help me fix the issue?

    Hello,

    Your logins are not working.

Moreover, you can make the changes we suggested and then wait for a few weeks. It is normal for Google to show different pages for where they find the image. They even show multiple posts for the same image sometimes and there is nothing in Rank Math settings to force Google to only find a particular post with an image.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

No, It is not resolved yet.

I am sharing my credentials again. Please check it from your end.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

As you can see from the screenshot in the sensitive data section, Google is already making the changes and showing the posts associated with images. But this doesn’t happen overnight and it will take some time for all the changes to take effect.

So, the fact that the latest crawled images already show correctly pointing to the articles is a sign that your changes are working.

If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to get in touch.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    I have added 2 links.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry for the delay.

I’ve checked the links you have provided, and it seems those images result in the same post where they are also showing/included in the post’s frontend.

If the page has multiple images, Google can index all of them and display them in search results pointing to the same URL because they exist on the same URL.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

I don’t understand how you are checking these links…

the 1st link that i have shared is showing 4 different images, 1st image in that is related to the post but other 3 are not.

2nd link, if you check 3rd image is related to the post but other 3 are not related to the post….

Kindly check it properly and help me fix the issue.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked the links you have shared and you’re right that the issue is still there with some images. But as my colleague has already mentioned that it can take some time for all the changes to take effect.

So please wait for Google to make all the changes. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
