The layout of the page is handled by your theme and if your theme works well with Elementor, then you can use Elementor as well.
If you need further clarification about that, I would suggest contacting your theme and the other involved plugins.

Normally, after changing the theme the layout changes. If the theme is using any page builder it will add reductant code in page.
I would suggest, test it out in the staging environment and when everything is fine, you can push it live. Please contact your hosting on how to create staging environment of the website.
