    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Unfortunately, that plugin uses a custom implementation of the custom fields and Rank Math can only read the normal WordPress custom fields when adding them to the titles and meta settings.

The way to achieve this integration would be for their team to implement our Content Analysis API: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

You would need to contact the developers of the plugin and show them the link above.

Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/divi/
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/elementor/
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/themify-builder/
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/page-builder-framework/
    https://rankmath.com/compatibility/flothemes/

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

I wonder if we can cook something up using other custom field plugin integrations they already have. Is this integration in the ACF free or in the pro version? Or is the ACF integration in RankMath itself?

What is the correct answer that I can forward?

For starters, will I forward them this link https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-custom-fields/
Any other information? Pods is an open source community plugin project, so I am helping them out to consider this integration.

    Hello,

The integration with ACF is done inside our plugin through a specific module called ACF that you can enable when that plugin is also installed on your website.

That is handled in this folder: wp-content\plugins\seo-by-rank-math\includes\modules\acf

Having said that, there are also other places where we make use of ACF and one of them is the option to pull data from them directly with the variable %customfield(field-name)% that uses the ACF function get_field().

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Hi, I asked the pods team the things above, see: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/rank-math-integration/#post-15429243

Can you reply and clarify how they can work the integration best?

    The Pods dev answered:
I’m more than happy to integrate with Rank Math SEO based on that integration, but it does look like part of it uses a certain build process that I’d have to get set up with.

Can you ask Rank Math SEO if they are open to a PR to https://github.com/rankmath/seo-by-rank-math that implements a new Pods module based on the ACF module? If you get the OK from them, then I will spend the time to write it up and submit it to them for inclusion.

If they are not interested, then it would take a bit of extra time to get the module PHP/JS to work outside the context of their plugin code, so it can be included in our Pods SEO plugin.

    Hello,

We have talked it over with the developers and the response we got is that we don’t want to add compatibility code in our plugin because it will increase the plugin size and in the future, it will become difficult to manage all this code.

Our Content Analysis API is very easy to use. The developer will only need basic knowledge of JavaScript and WP hooks. It’s a simple JavaScript code that doesn’t require any compiler to build the files.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
