Hi. WordPress is giving me the following message, “Please keep only one SEO plugin active, otherwise, you might lose your rankings and traffic. Click here to Deactivate.” I’m pretty sure I’ve removed all tables associated with Yoast with wp-optimize. How can I check?

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with the SEO plugins on your WordPress website. It’s crucial to keep only one SEO plugin active to avoid conflicts and potential issues with your site’s SEO performance.

To check if there are any remaining tables associated with Yoast SEO after using wp-optimize, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check WordPress Admin Area:

      • Log in to your WordPress admin area.
      • Look for any remaining Yoast SEO settings or options in the admin dashboard.
    2. Database Tables:

      • Access your website’s database using a tool like phpMyAdmin.
      • Search for any tables related to Yoast SEO. Tables usually have prefixes like wp_yoast_.
    3. Health Check & Troubleshooting:

      • Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin from the WordPress repository.
      • Enable Troubleshooting Mode and check for any remaining traces of Yoast SEO.

If you’re unable to find any remaining tables associated with Yoast SEO, it’s recommended to ensure that only one SEO plugin is active on your website to prevent any conflicts.

I don’t see any sign of Yoast in WordPress. How do I use phpMyAdmin to check?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

If you’ve already uninstalled the Yoast from your website, Rank Math shouldn’t show this notice. In this case, could you please share the list of the plugins you’re currently using on your website?

However, this notice should be cleared once you just click the X button on the notification.

If it’s still not getting removed, clear your website’s cache and the transients at Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove transients.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
