Plugin interferes with my WordPress dashoboard

  • Hi,
I have installed the RankMath plugin on my blog last September and since then, I was very happy with this tool.
Anyhow, in April the RankMath started to interfere with my WordPress dashboard. It started on the article level. I wanted to write a new article but all of the sudden I only saw the screen as I sent you above. My technical support saw a blank page when clicking on “article”. We then checked all installed plugins. As soon as RankMath was deactivated, everything startet working finde. I then activated RankMath again and all worked finde until mid of May. Again, the plugin interfered with my dashboard. This time with the “design” area. All I saw was the screenshot I have sent to you respectively a blank page. Again, everything worked fine as soon as RankMath was deactivated. After a while I activated the plugin again and so far everything is working fine.
    Any idea about this?
    Many thanks

  • Hi Martina,

Thanks a lot for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

There are potentially 2 issues I see.

    1. Your website is throwing an error instead of showing you the widgets – from what I can gather seeing your screenshot. This could be due to memory limitations but we need more details to know for sure.

    2. It looks like, your web host is shows those ads you see in your screenshot instead of a regular error page. This way, they are monetizing your problematic pages. Now, this could also be due to some other plugin but my money is on the host.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi Todd,

    Many thanks for your answer.

I will put my WP login details in the sensitive data area for you to check on my WordPress. And I hope it is working.

    Best regards,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.
