    Hi, I am attempting to claim my website but every time I paste the provided HTML tag into the webmaster tools ID box and click on “save changes,” everything between “<meta name” to “content=” gets deleted, leaving nothing but the final string of numbers. As a result, pinterest errors out when I input my domain name and try to claim.

    I have tried closing out my browser and rebooting my computer but still having issues. Thank you for your help.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    By default, once you have entered the HTML verification code and saved it, only the ID remains in the textbox field (string numbers).

    Also, please note that it can take up to an hour for your website to get verified, and you will be notified via email.

    If you are using any CDN, you should clear the cache from there and from your website after adding the verification code.
