PHP GSC API Error Again

  • Resolved CharlieB

See this support ticket for reference

    <strong>Rank Math GSC API Error: POST 401 | {"error":{"errors":[{"domain":"global","reason":"authError","message":"Invalid Credentials","locationType":"header","location":"Authorization"}],"code":401,"message":"Invalid Credentials"}}</strong>

this is happening again on sites that I had done what you suggested to fix it. Fix didn’t last long. Also this is happening on two other sites and I had deauthorized and reauthorized to fix these previously.

Any thoughts on why this is happening.

  • Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Thank you for getting in touch with us today and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
I have not come across this myself. Would it be possible to share some temporary admin access to one of the affected sites so that we can investigate the kind of configuration that is causing this?

You can do this by editing the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Yes see the temp logins posted. Thanks. Let me know if you need anything

    Hi Charlie,

    Thanks for the access.

You do not need to worry about these errors, these are common API warnings. When I run the manual fetching process, I am hitting an API usage limit error which arises when you hit the request quota on the search console API.

I will bring this to the attention of our developers but at the moment the search console module is getting the data from the Google cache and feeding your site with updated data.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Thanks for looking into this. You never know if this will be an issue or not. Appreciate your help!! Thanks!!

We are super happy that this resolved your issue.

If you don’t mind me asking, could you please leave us a review (if you haven’t already) on about your overall experience with Rank Math? We appreciate your time and patience.

If you do have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and we will be happy to assist you again.

    Thank you.
