PHP-error on every post/page: “Compilation failed: quantifier does not…”

I’m trying out your WordPress-Plugin. After activation and configuration I got an PHP error on every post or page.

For debugging I use the plugin “Query Monitor” and it says:
preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 0
    on: /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/vendor/mythemeshop/wordpress-helpers/src/helpers/class-str.php:95

We have already thousands of posts on our website and none of them have a focus keyword or any other SEO settings. However the error won’t go away if I set a focus keyword.

    What is going wrong?

Additional info: During installation of RankMath I imported data from the plugin “Redirections” and “Yoast SEO” which are no deactivated.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

This issue could be related to a redirection entry in the redirection module. Could you please disable the Redirections module in the Rank Math dashboard and see if the warning goes away?

Thanks a lot for your quick and competent support!

Indeed it was the redirection module causing the error and I have found the guilty entry 🙂
