    Hi

    I have some issue for my permalink.

    There’s an image that I optimize the alt text to Water Pump Malaysia”.

    When I create a new page with the permalink .com/water-pump-malaysia, it will automatically change to .com/water-pump-malaysia-3

    However, i have not created any pages with the permalink .com/water-pump-malaysia before.

    I have left my wp login and a screen recording to check.

    Thanks for the email.

    I have installed the WP phpMyAdmin plugin to help in looking at your database table and it looks like this slug has already been registered in the posts table for the image with the water-pump-malaysia-2 slug which is causing the issue that you are seeing. Please take a look at this screenshot for reference:

    You mentioned that the image has been registered in the posts table for the image with the water-pump-malaysia-2.

    All i did was adding alt text to Water Pump Malaysia to the image>> https://prnt.sc/nz9d0i

    Not sure how it is registered and affect the permalink.

    How can I solve this? I want to add alt text “water pump malaysia” for the image and for the permalink, i want it to be .com/water-pump-malaysia

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

    Your will need to delete this database record and all previous occurrence of this post name on the db, create the page with this URL and then add the image using the ALT tag so that it can be saved differently.
