I use Perfect Brands for WooCommerce and I have selected “brands” in the woocommerce setting page of RankMath. But on Google’s Rich Results Testing Tool it says brand is not set.
    How to fix?

  • OK, as long as I check on the product page the error was not appearing. Only when I checked on the product category page it was happening.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

It seems that you have already marked this ticket as already resolved. Could you please confirm?

However, Google recommends disabling the schema to your product category page and the product Schema is only for the actual product and not for anything else. You can check this link for more information:
    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/product#guidelines

To do that, please head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Product: Categories and enable the “Remove Snippet Data”:
    Product Category schema

Please also note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

I have removed snippet data from both category pages and brand pages. But still rich results test gives error. Any ideas?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

I’ve checked some of your categories, and I’m unable to replicate the issue using Google’s Rich Results test. I’ve attached some results in the sensitive data section.

Please clear your website’s cache and test again your site. If the issue still persists, could you please provide the affected URL to check further?

    I hope that helps.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    OK, looks working.
I have another question. My site’s product category page is indexed in google, but not the top page of the category but 2nd page of the brand category. Why? How to make it only index the top page of the category?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

I’m not quite sure whether I fully understand your concern. But I’ll do my best, and please let me know if I misunderstood.

Could you please confirm if your 2nd page of the brand category is ranking better than your top category pages?

If so, this is normal if the internal links to these archives are more, and if Google believes they are a better match for the query than your top category pages.

In this case, please create or add more internal links to the top category pages for them to show on the Google search results page.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

OK, good to know. I have another question. When I check a single product page, then it says it works with rich results. But it appears as there are two products (one only with product title and the other with Brand and site name in.)
I have edited the sensitive data section. So could you please have a look?

OK, so the double entry of schema data was caused by the product feed plugin I use.

    Hello,

We are glad that your issue is resolved.

Please feel free to reach out to us again in case you need any other assistance.

    We are here to help.

    Thank you.
