Hi there, thanks for the plugin, it’s great.

I’m getting schema errors when I check it with Google, and I can’t figure out why.

    This is the error:

Parsing error: Missing ‘}’ or object member name

Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your site using Google’s Rich Results test and replicated the issue.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know if you have found the culprit.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did as you suggested. I had only rank math, a default theme, and woocommerce enabled, and I was receiving the same error.

    Any other ideas?

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

It seems that the sheer amount of reviews on your website is making the tool skip some of the data and thus throwing an error.

We copied your Schema Markup to our local installation and reduced the number of reviews and the code was able to pass correctly.

Check the test link in the sensitive data section.

This seems like a memory or time limitation on the Rich Results Test tool that is not able to fully read the entire page. If the parameters for this tool are the same as the deprecated Structured Data Testing Tool, then the limit is set as 2.5MB of data before it bails.

There are currently more data than that on your Schema and this is likely why the tool fails to properly read the entire information.

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,
