Parent category is not removed from product URL

    Hello,

In: Settings > Permalinks > Product permalinks > Custom base
    We have: /%category%/

So, the product URL looks like: site.com/parentCategory/childCategory/productName

We want to have: site.com/childCategory/productName (which means, the direct/sub category is still in the URL but the parent category is removed)

To get that, in: Rank Math > Settings > WooCommerce, “Remove parent slugs” and “Remove category base” are activated.

But still the product URL is: site.com/parentCategory/childCategory/productName (parent category still exists)

Any idea how we can keep the sub-category in the URL but yet remove the parent category? (worth mentioning that in the product, we even selected the child category as the “Mark Primary Term” but still no luck)

    Thanks
