Pages Are Not Indexing in Google Search Console

I have submitted a sitemap in Google Search Console, but even a single page has not been indexed automatically from the sitemap. If I publish a blog post today, then I can see the post URL in the sitemap yesterday. The Post URL does not get added in the sitemap immediately after publishing the post. It takes 24-48 hours to show the post URL in the sitemap.

Not only this Google doesn’t index my post automatically from the sitemap. I always have to index a page using the URL Inspection tool. If Google crawls a page from the sitemap, then it shows “Discovered, but currently not indexed”.

Please help me solve it… I’m focusing on trending content. If articles don’t get indexed immediately, at least within 24 hours then my work is meaningless.

    Please help me with this…

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re facing with getting your pages indexed in Google Search Console. It can be frustrating when your content doesn’t get indexed as quickly as you’d like.

It’s important to note that Google doesn’t always index new content immediately, and it can take some time for them to crawl and index your pages. Additionally, the indexing process can be influenced by various factors such as the frequency of posting and your site’s domain authority.

If you’ve already submitted a sitemap in Google Search Console and are still experiencing issues with automatic indexing, you may want to consider checking the last crawl date in the Google Search Console. This can help you determine if Google has seen the updated sitemap yet.

Here’s a helpful article that explains how to check the last crawl date in Google Search Console: Check the Last Crawl Date in Google Search Console

If the last crawl date is not after you’ve published the post, then it’s possible that Google has not yet seen the updated sitemap. In this case, it’s recommended to be patient and wait for Google to crawl the sitemap.

However, if you don’t want to wait, you can also delete the sitemap from the Google Search Console and then re-add it. Here’s a guide on how to do that: Remove and Re-Add Sitemap in Google Search Console

If you’ve tried these steps and are still experiencing issues with indexing, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly from here: Contact Rank Math Support. Our team is available 24×7 and will be happy to assist you further.

We understand the importance of having your content indexed promptly, especially for trending topics, and we’re here to help you resolve this issue.

Google crawls the page from the sitemap, but it doesn’t index the page. After crawling a page from sitemap, everytime it shows “Discovered, currently not indexed”.

So, what can I do in that case? Then I request to reindex the page using the URL inspection tool.

Why Google isn’t indexing my pages automatically from the sitemap.

    Hello,

Please share your site URL so we can check this for you.

The “Discovered – currently not indexed” indicates Google has discovered the page, and even wants to crawl the page. But this was expected to cause an overload on the site, hence Google has rescheduled the crawl.

As a result, Google may delay this crawl for several days after it has been discovered and the crawl status would remain empty until then.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Sir,
Here’s the link to my website.

One thing, I think it’s important to tell you is that I wasn’t active on my website for 15-20 days. Is this the reason why Google is not crawling my pages? But now I’m working on my website actively for a few days and I’ll be.

Please let me know how I can solve this issue (Discovered, currently not indexed) as soon as possible.

As I’ve told you that I’m focusing on trending keywords, so the pages must get indexed within 24 hours to get traffic.

So, please tell me how I can index a page within 24 hours after publishing it.

    Hello,

Only Google knows why they are not crawling the pages even after discovering them. It could be related to your site’s crawl budget. You should keep working on publishing quality content and submitting it to Google to increase the crawl frequency. You can also use our Instant Indexing plugin to automatically submit the URLs to Google’s Fast Indexing API: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
