Open External Links in New Tab/Window not working?

    Hello, i activated the feature in the Advanced Link Options, Open External Links in New Tab/Window. I have some external links in some widgets, and when i click on those links, they are not opened in a new window, does this feature not work for widgets? only pages and posts??

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for the patience.

    I have just been alerted that this feature is only wired to work within links that are found in the post_content. We do not foresee adding this feature to widgets and I would recommend that you edit the links and add a target=”_blank” attribute to the links on your widgets to open them in a new tab.
