On-Page VC Elements Excluded In SEO Score

    Rank Math free

    Good Day,

I have recently moved 2 websites to Rank Maths and love the plugin functionality thus far! That being said, I have noticed that Visual Composer elements created by Theme Developers don’t get factored into the On-Page SEO results.

For example with the theme I am currently using on one of the websites (Porto). If I place a “Porto Element” within Visual Composer called “Porto Heading” to any page, editing it to show an H3 title with my chosen keyword included.

The On-Page SEO results don’t register the above and still reference – “Focus Keyword not found in subheading(s) like H2, H3, H4, etc..”

The only way to correct this currently is to inspect the code and strip it out onto a standard text widget or something to that effect. This isn’t ideal as it makes editing the website way harder for the client.

What I wanted to know is if the above negatively affects the SEO for the page or if its merely not picking it up but still does the job.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This does not affect your overall site SEO and your ranking. Some RankMath tests are unable to analyse content in page builders which only affects the site score in the plugin and not on search engines.
The good news is that we have just released a content analysis API to fix this, please get in touch with the author of your page builder so that they can help in integrating the API as described on this page: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Thanks Michael,

This is exactly what I was looking for. Once implemented I imagine the theme and relevant plugins would be factored into the Rank Maths SEO Score/Results.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Gary,

That is right! All the tests will be factored on the overall site score 🙂

Feel free to contact us for any other questions, comments or suggestions.

    Thank you.
