    Hi,

I tried png and jpg, and checked the source code of my home page. Each time I changed the mage in RankMath I made sure I cleared my CDN and server cache. But I keep getting an error on FB debugger and sharing displays a blank page.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

It appears the image link is not working and redirecting us to your homepage: https://i.rankmath.com/KxEpAf

That is why Facebook cannot recognize it as an image since instead of the image – Facebook is only seeing your website’s homepage.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I believe that the directives on your .htaccess are behind this problem. Could you please backup the file and then delete these directives and check if this will solve the problem?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Directives removed from htaccess
    AIOWP Security Disabled
    CDN Disabled
    Server Cache Disabled
    Disabled Redirecting attachments in RMath

Now I can access images but still same result in FB debugger and if I disable RMath too then the OG image is replaced by WP to a blank one (https://s0.wp.com/i/blank.jpg)

I removed all additions I had in my htaccess and the issue still existed. I disabled RMath and tried with Yoast but the same issue, so I guess it is not RMath, either a plugin conflict or I need to add AppID.

    Hi Todd,

Thank you for your fast response.
As I was checking the issue while logged in as admin I did not get redirected, but know I see what you mean.
I have 4 sources of redirection as I checked, 3 in my htaccess: AIOWP Security, and 2 parts I added myself a long time ago (I believe I got the code from some blog online to prevent hotlinking), and the 4th os RMath as I selected to redirect attachments to the source post else to home page. Though I do not think it is RMath as I disabled the redirection in it and still the redirection in on.
The current image is redirected via both links:
    https://vapeesh.com/logo-fb-placeholder_1200x630-300/
    https://vapeesh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/logo-FB-Placeholder_1200x630-300.png
So should I choose either to allow hotlinking and get social media to access my images or to disable hotlinking and sacrifice images in social media?

    Hello,

If you have hotlink protection, that is likely the issue.

Please disable hotlink protection and see if that fixes the issue.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
