Not showing duplicate keywords

  • Hi
    I’m using rank math on my woocommerce site, I did SEO for product categories, products and blog but suddenly I found out that I have duplicate keywords in categories and blog.

    How is that possible and what shall I do to prevent it?
    the light for “The keyword have not been used before” in both part is green which confirms there is no duplicate keyword.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    At the moment, this test will only check if the focus keyword exists within the registered post types if you are currently editing a post type and check categories if you are currently editing a category.

    Thanks for your reply, doesn’t it affect my SEO ranking? bcz I may have 3 post in products, product category and blog with the same keyword all competing with each other.

    You are right this may unintentionally cause a keyword cannibalism effect and I will be passing this on to our developers so that we can make some improvements in upcoming versions.
    At the moment, I can recommend that you review your recent posts/products/categories to ensure that they are not competing for the same keywords.
