Not a valid URL

  • Hi,
    This is the default sitemap generated by the Rank Math plugin.
    When I update the sitemap In Google Search Console I got the following error. can you please tell me what to do to fix this?

    This is not a valid URL. Please correct it and resubmit.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    I have checked it and I think it is due to a ‘/’ was added as a page in the sitemap (when it shouldn’t be there).

    Since that issue could be due to several things, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    Sorry for not following up quickly and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that. I still couldn’t login to your site using the FTP access you added in the Sensitive Data Section. I am getting 530 Login authentication failed error.

    Can you please check the access details again? Also, please confirm there are no restrictions set. We would be needing write access to your site’s wp-config.php, debug.log, and wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math folder.

    I still couldn’t login to your FTP using the details you added in the Sensitive Data Section. I don’t think the issue is in the host, to me it looks like the username & password is wrong. I tried using all the variations by using pwd without // at the end, adding ftp and without it but still no luck. Please check the screencast I added in the Sensitive Data Section.
