Noindex woocommerce pages

    Hello –

    Google Search Console is reporting noindex on these pages:

    https://hometonorway.com/cart/
    https://hometonorway.com/checkout/
    https://hometonorway.com/my-account/

    These are all pages auto-generated by WooCommerce.

    I have confirmed the following:

    a) General Settings doesn’t have “discourage search engines” checked,
    b) RankMath/Titles & Meta/Global has “Index” checked off,
    c) Each of the pages mentioned above have “Index” check off in RankMath page settings.

    I really don’t care that Google doesn’t index the pages listed above. However, I want to understand why RankMath is off doing it’s own thing on these pages. I do SEO for a living and need to be able to explain this to customers who get “fail” messages from GSC.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    These pages should not be present in the sitemap and are set to noindex by default. This error suggests that the pages have been erroneously added to your sitemap when they should not be.
    Please edit each of these pages and set them to noindex via the Rank Math meta box and then do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once and check if the sitemap contains the same links. If it doesn’t then delete the old sitemap from Google Search Console and submit the new sitemap.

    If it does, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
