Nothing has been removed in the free version. Please check for this option in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.
Do note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. We give you an option to choose between the two during the setup wizard and you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode.
You can switch to the Advanced Mode from the top-right corner at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard

Thanks but I want to noindex *individual* pages and posts. There used to be a place to do that, but I cannot find it. Where do I do that?

I am not quite sure which other option you are referring to because the option I have outlined in my previous reply under the advanced tab of Rank math met box is the only way to set individual pages or posts to noindex.
If you feel this might be an option in previous version, you can roll back by heading to Rank math > Status & Tools > Version Control and may be share some screenshots so we can guide you where we have made changes in our updates.

I wanted to reiterate Rank Math still has the option of choosing to Index and No Index single posts. All you have to do is ensure you have selected the Advanced Tab from your Dashboard by going selecting Rank Math >> Dashboard.
After then, go to any post you want to No Index, scroll down a little bit to the Rank Math SEO Settings Panel >> Advanced >> Robots Meta.
