    Hello!
Recently we’ ve changed many sites from evelate seo (a very simple seo plugin) to rank math.
The point is that no url’s are indexed from Google.
At other sites there isn’t any sitemap.
All plugins are up to date, PHP 7.2 etc.
    Any help?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you confirm that you have enabled the sitemap module in Rank Math and that the no index option is not set on your posts and pages?
    Please perform these steps:
    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

That should fix the sitemap appearance issue.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

Yes that worked for the sitemap!

What about the url’s that are not indexed at some sites? We didn’t change a thing!

    Hello,

I am glad that the sitemap issue is resolved.

Please perform the steps on this checklist:

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.
    Screenshot:

    Individual Post Advanced Tab

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    Noindex Settings

    3. Check that the correct sitemap has been submitted to your Google Search console account. The correct URL should be domain(dot)com/sitemap_index.xml

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Wow from what i see many products are not index!
    https://prnt.sc/nvkct1

But we do include them at sitemap!
    https://prnt.sc/nvkdgh

So what can we do now?
    One by one????????!!!!!!!!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

The default setting for all posts / pages & products is index even without the “index” option exclusively set on the Rank Math metabox.
If none of the options on the global settings is set to noindex on the global settings then you have nothing to worry about as Google will soon crawl your pages and index the content.
Please check from your GSC whether your sitemap has been fetched and wait since this process can take upto a week.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

Michael, I think this is incorrect. I just woke up to Google informing me that 50 posts are marked non-indexed on two of my sites. Every one of them looks like Allpinguins picture, where the Advanced tab has nothing marked under indexing. So not marking seems to = “noindex” in Google’s eyes, and now I have to drop everything and mark 1500 posts with a click box as quickly as possible before my business collapses. Any chance of a quick fix from RankMath?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the response.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

Totally not seeing the sensitive data box you show in the image. But of course I can’t edit the first post in the thread, because I didn’t start the thread. I just tried to edit my previous reply. I have a login ready for you – just let me know how to get it to you.

    I’ll start a new ticket.

    Hi there,

Sorry for that, please start a new ticket and I will follow up on the new thread.

    Thank you.

    Done!

Well if there is a soluion i would like to know….
As soon as we did make the change to Rank math many posts or products are noindex!
It’s impossible to mark thm again one by one!
And of course the sites lost many places at page rank….

Hi Allpinguins. Did you switch over from Yoast and import the settings? I did, and I’m wondering if something to do with that could explain it.

    Yes exactly….From yoast…

    Hi Allpinguins,

    Thanks for the follow up.

The issue could have something to do with your site cache if your server is not set to bypass the sitemap. You should be able to fix this by clearing the cache, deleting the current sitemap and then resubmitting a new sitemap on the GSC.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
