No: 'noindex' detected in 'robots' meta tag of pages in GSC Coverage Report - Support

Hi,

Most of my posts are labeled in GSC as “No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag”:

When I inspect these pages, this is what I see:

When I test the URL in GSC, then it says it’s OK:

But the pages continue to be listed in GSC’s no-index report. I have waited a couple weeks and the pages I have submitted for re-indexing remain in the no-index report.

When I search on the page via Google search, then I find it:

I think I have RankMath configured correctly, so why is GSC not indexing my pages?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

I checked the your posts and the are set to be indexed. This screenshot https://ibb.co/T2Ck6fh also shows GSC sees the availability of the URL as indexable.

It is quite unclear why GSC might be reading them as set to noindex in some instances. Please try the following:

–Head to your site, clear any cache you may have and exclude your sitemap from being cached.

–Confirm all your posts are added to the sitemap correctly by Going to yourdomain/sitemap_index.xml

–Head back to your GSC and remove any submitted sitemaps. Resubmit only the main sitemap and give it sometime to update.

Please let us know if the issue persists.

correction….

Google does not seem to be crawling these pages on my site for more than a month. Perhaps this is the issue? I have tried to re-trigger…

Hi. Tried this and it did not seem to resolve the issue. Here is another example:

I have cleared the caches several times at the WP and CDN levels (even my own browser for good measure =) .

As you can see, Google does not seem to be crawling my site for more than a month. Perhaps this is the issue? I have tried to re-trigger a crawl of these pages for a couple weeks now and nothing I’ve tried seems to be effective.

In that case, I think we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
