  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

I checked your URL and actually your site seems to be set to noindex including your homepage: https://i.rankmath.com/7OGPAA

Please head to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading and uncheck the option to discourage search engines from indexing your site.

Once done, please confirm your pages are not set to noindex using this tool: https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer/

If the pages are no longer set to noindex, go ahead and remove any submitted sitemaps and resubmit only the main sitemap file[/sitemap_index.xml].Give it sometime to crawl and update.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,
That box is unchecked. I am trying to attach a screenshot but am unable to. I checked this setting last week, confirmed it was not checked and resubmitted the sitemap. The site is still showing no index.

Do i need to remove submitted sitemap or just resubmit the new one? I have resubmitted the new one over a week ago and it still showing no index.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

I checked the URLs and I can see that you have successfully set them to index. Please see the updated screenshot below: index

But upon checking your sitemap page, some of the pages are not present in the sitemap.

Can you please follow these steps?

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. After that, remove all your sitemap pages from your GSC and submit only the main sitemap https://tanfs.com/sitemap_index.xml.

Let me know how it goes. We are looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
I apologize for the delay. Yes your recommendation worked for me. I was able to fix the no index error and resubmit my sitemap.

On February 3, I selected the option to have Google fix the 11 URL’s that were marked no index. Since then only 5 have been verified and marked indexed. I get the message that the Validation process is still in process and there are 6 URL’s that have not been checked since December and January. Is this normal?

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us and thank you for giving some updates.

It takes quite a while for the validation process to complete and thus some patience will be needed from your end.

If the issue persists after a couple of days, please delete the current sitemap from your GSC once again and clear your site cache, and then resubmit the main sitemap. This should fix the issue.

Let me know how it goes, we are looking forward to helping you.
