    Rank Math free

hi im new to rank math and I have an issue I’m trying to solve. I have changed websites from squarespace to wordpress. I remade the site and everything. I have a few of the following questions that I am struggling with.

I used ahref site audit to do a new audit on my updated site and I am getting a error for 133 of my pages saying that there is no index page in sitemap. the thing is is I dont want these pages to even be indexed at all. most of them are just to random images I have in my library that I may not even be using, or to elementor pages like themes from my theme builder. weird stuff that I would never want ranked anyways. some of them may be images I am using though It’s hard to tell. i’m just wondering what to do in this situation. Also, I even have my css files and javascript files being indexed. I dont know if that’s normal either. please someone help.

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing with your website. It’s great that you’re reaching out for help.

To address the issue of pages that you don’t want to be indexed, you can use the “noindex” meta tag to tell search engines not to consider these pages for indexing. This will allow the content to remain on your website for your audience, but it will not be indexed by search engines.

You can find detailed instructions on how to add a noindex meta tag to your URLs in the following guide: How to NoIndex Paginated Pages.

Additionally, if you have pages with similar content, you can use canonical tags to tell Google which page is the original and should be ranked. You can find instructions on how to change the canonical URL using Rank Math in this guide: How to Change Canonical URL.

Regarding the indexing of CSS and JavaScript files, it’s not normal for these files to be indexed. You may need to check your website’s settings and ensure that these files are not being mistakenly included in the sitemap.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with these steps, please feel free to reach out to our support team, who are always more than happy to help.

I hope this information helps you resolve the issues you’re experiencing.
