No access to WP dashboard after RankMath Update :o

    Hi everyone,

    I just updated the RankMath Plugin and now the WP dashboard is not available any more!

    This is the message I get when I try to got to the login site:

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    This is very odd, to be able to gain access to your site, please login to your site directory using FTP and rename the “seo-by-rankmath” folder in your wp-content/plugins folder. This should then disable Rank Math and you can delete the current version and perform a fresh install.

    This should fix the problem.

    I got same issue
    I can’t Deactivate the plugin, the other website i have Deactivated it and install again so it is working fine but It’s can connect with Google Console (it said: The Sign in with Google feature is temporarily disabled for this application
    This application has not been verified by Google to use the Sign in with Google feature.)

    Please help

    That is caused by how the PHP file is named in the plugin directory /plugins/seo-by-rank-math/vendor/cmb2/cmb2/includes/CMB2_Hookup.php. Currently, it’s reporting a critical error where it can’t find a file name CMB2_Hookup.php when in fact the file is named CMB2_hookup.php with a lowercase “h” I renamed the PHP file to an uppercase “H” and it got rid of the error… Simple fix!

    On some installations where other plugins were utilizing CMB2 library, the errors were popping up.

    We have released a quick update, 1.0.41.1

    Updating to the latest version should fix the issue.

    Thank you Marc. This helped me to fix the issue https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/critical-error-3/#post-39005 caused by the same wrong naming convention.

    Hi and thank you all for helping!

    I did the update and now EVERYTHING IS GONE :(.
    I have noh access to the WP dashboard and the blog is gone! It says “Check again in a minute” but nothing got better after a few minutes! 🙁

    I don’t feel confident to repair anything via FTP… 🙁

    Need some help… thank you!

    I did nothing – it seems the new update finally did its job.

    I did update earlier today and logged out and back in and had errors and dashboard disappeared, so I have rolled back plugin to previous version until I know the new version is safe to install

    Please update to the latest version, 1.0.41.1 and that should fix all the issues mentioned above.
