Please note that only the posts/pages published in the last 2 days are included in the News Sitemap as per Google’s News Sitemap Guidelines:

If the issue still persists, please follow these steps (if not yet):
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

I want to ask you this. If the news sitemap is empty, is it still accessible and not returning an 404 error?
I have tried the methods you mentioned above.
I tried exclude on the htaccess file; wp-rocket and Transient Cache rank-math.php file in child theme.
Here is the exact code inside the rank-math.php file:

I have fixed the problem. In general, after installing google news sitemap, you need to post the latest. It will return 404 error if there are no new posts
