  • Hello,

I apologize for the issues you are facing with your Rank Math news sitemap. Thank you for providing the screenshots to help us understand the problems better.

    1. Regarding the timezone mismatch between your site’s Indian Time Zone and the Rank Math news sitemap timezone (+00:00), you can adjust this setting in Rank Math. To modify the timezone settings, please follow these steps:

      • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
      • Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Global Meta.
      • Look for the News Sitemap section and adjust the timezone settings to match your site’s timezone (+05:30 IST).
    2. For the language mismatch in the Rank Math news sitemap (showing EN instead of hi-IN), you can modify this setting by following these steps:

      • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

    1. This is the default behavior of the plugin. This was changed some time ago to update the actual date and not the timezone, so you’ll see that your time in the sitemap already includes the timezone offset correctly added to the time from UTC.

    2. The markup of the sitemap will always be in English no matter the language of the website. If the markup is not in English the News Sitemap will not be compliant and search engines such as Google would ignore it.

    3. This means that the data inside those entries can be interpreted as XML data which is fine since that is added inside the XML sitemaps.

Please note that for further technical assistance, and given the News Sitemap is a PRO feature you need to verify the purchase of the PRO plugin.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
