Please follow the below steps and see if that helps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml

Hi, thank you for these instructions. We followed every step and tested it the last days, but the auto refreshing of the News Sitemap is still not working. The only thing that works immediately is flushing the “sitemap cache” as you described in step 1. After flushing, the sitemap shows the newest articles, but the next day it is outdated again and I have to flush the cache again.
We are using Cloudflare but for us, it doesn’t look like a caching problem.
