In the long/primary description, when you add a line break, WordPress will create a new paragraph out of it and Rank Math will only capture the first paragraph:
<p>This</p> <-- Rank Math will capture this first paragraph
<p>is</p>
<p>a</p>
<p>demo</p>
In the short description, Rank Math will however capture it as a whole sentence no matter you add a new line.
To solve your issue, you may need to construct your first few descriptive sentences as a whole paragraph in the long description area and Rank Math will use it for your meta description.
